Evaluation: Q7

I originally created the presentation on a software called 'Rawshorts'. In order to upload onto the blog, I had to export the video onto YouTube.

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

I would like my magazine to be published and distributed by IPC, International Publishing Corporation. IPC is a British publication company, selling over 35 million copies per year. ICP has formerly been described in a positive aspect as the “UK’s leading consumer magazine publisher”. Figures have previously shown that it has over 26million UK adult consumers, entailing 42% of the UK’s males and 66% of the UK’s females. IPC Media are connected to a variety of magazine genres, including NME which is one of Britain's biggest music magazines.

My magazine would be distributed traditionally among newsagents and some book stores. I would also like to sell them online so readers can subscribe. I would include virtual copies for media devices such as smartphones and other technological devices, so that it can be downloaded as an app so readers can have and read the magazine anywhere they go making it easily accessible. This would be effective as teenagers and young adults are constantly connecting with technological devices making it more appropriate for them.

IPC Media generates magazine publications for multiple devices such as online websites, smartphones and apps. This would make my idea of creating virtual copies of “FO’ REAL” easily and less problematic. My magazine would be distributed monthly as shown through the date on my pages and will available through subscription as many magazines are.
